Back in 2009, when T.I. was waiting to serve his jail sentence for purchasing a few bb guns from security guards, I was in Phoenix Arizona covering the NBA Players Association gala for the Source magazine and World Gaming. T.I. was a guest performer at the private party, accompanied by the “sheriff” that chaperoned him and his entourage when he left his house to visit lawyers, go to the doctor, court, private concerts, etc. Luckily he survived his prison stay like a champ and emerged unscathed. Had he have been shanked, these last photos of him performing before jail would have been worth a whole lot…
Unfortunately for the King of the South, he is currently facing a little more jail time.
I am sitting here listening to Paper Trail, and the only thing I can hope for is that another stint in jail could stimulate another great album.
